Dr. Brian Personal History
Dr. Brian Workman was born in Dayton, Ohio in 1976. His family moved to Columbia, S.C. early on in his childhood. He grew up actively, enjoying participating in sports like baseball and soccer. He is a graduate of Spring Valley High School, a large public school located in Northeast Columbia, where he was a varsity soccer standout for the Vikings. Dr. Workman chose to attend Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and was the recipient of the Senior Biology Award. He was a varsity soccer letterman all fours years during his time at Hampden-Sydney College and also became Captain of the team his senior year.
Dr. Workman’s formal chiropractic training was received from the Doctor of Chiropractic Program at the prestigious Life University in Marietta, Ga. On his way to graduating Cum Laude, Dr. Workman successfully completed all requirements set forth by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners to become Nationally Board Certified. His practical training came from the Life University Outpatient Roswell Clinic, in what was at the time, the largest chiropractic clinic by volume in the world.
Dr. Workman currently enjoys volunteering his time in the community by assisting educators or mentoring students in our downtown Charleston County Schools and by passing on his soccer experience and knowledge to youth soccer players in the Charleston area.
Dr. Workman opened his first office off of East Bay Street on the downtown Charleston Peninsula 18 years ago. In 2008, he relocated his office to a more beautiful and accessible building in downtown Charleston, the Harbor Walk building, next to the Aquarium where you have views of the Charleston Harbor from the waiting room. He has been at this location for over 12 years now.
